Rules of Entry

1. Judging and transparency

Final scores are determined by the DrupalSouth Community Awards Committee and are not publicly disclosed. All decisions made by the judging panel are final.

2. Independence and conflicts of interest

DrupalSouth Committee members must not influence or alter voting outcomes. Any conflict of interest will be declared at the time of judging, and the affected Committee member will be excluded from assessing the relevant category or categories.

3. Eligibility of nominations

Each individual may be nominated for one Community Award only—the category that best reflects their contribution. The judging panel (DrupalSouth Community Awards Committee and Awards Sponsor) reserves the right to reassign a nomination to a more appropriate category. If this occurs, the nominee will be notified and must approve the change.

4. Entry fees

There is no cost to enter any DrupalSouth Community Award category.

5. Sponsorship restrictions

To avoid any perceived conflict of interest, organisations that directly sponsor the awards ceremony are not permitted to submit nominations.

6. Nature of nominations

Nominations are considered recommendations from the community. All awards are granted at the sole discretion of the DrupalSouth Committee and Community Awards Committee.

7. People’s Choice Award voting

• The nominee with the highest valid vote count will win
• Votes from colleagues within the same organisation as the nominee will be weighted at 50%
• Votes from outside the nominee’s organisation will carry full weight
• The DrupalSouth Committee will validate all votes to ensure voters are part of the ANZ Drupal community (e.g. via work email and/or Drupal.org profile)

8. Previous winners

Past winners of a specific category are not eligible to be nominated for that same category again.

9. Nominee consent

All nominees must agree to their nomination prior to submission. It is the responsibility of the person nominating to confirm acceptance.
