My background and history with Drupal:
Drupal has had a profound impact on my life, both professional and personal. First using Drupal in 2008 for an online artist community, I went on to co-found a Drupal development business in 2011. The thing that really attracted me to Drupal was its community, both local and international. I have made so many friends through Drupal communities over the years. Attending my first DrupalCON in London in 2011 opened my eyes to the full power of the community and upon returning to Wellington I got involved in helping organise and sponsor the regular Drupal Meetups. I still work closely with Drupal as a hands-on Technical Project Manager.
Why I'm running as a candidate:
I want to contribute to the steady governance of the Australasian community and be a part of representing New Zealand to help support and grow the community here. I am an advocate for celebrating what Australia has achieved with Drupal and see a big future for Drupal in New Zealand as well. I hope to work with the rest of the committee to stimulate a new growth cycle, both in terms of training newcomers to the platform and adoption amongst large organisations.
Why you should vote for me:
You should vote for whomever you feel is best and can give the most amount of quality time back to the community! I’m committed to giving the best I can.
