About

My background and history with Drupal:

Being part of this community has been a bigger influence on my career than I could ever have predicted. It's been a space in which I've learned, grown, and built relationships and worked on many exciting and impactful projects. I've worked for nonprofits, agencies, government, business, media, causes, and myself. I feel lucky to have been at the very first DrupalSouth, but more so to still find myself part of it today.

Why I'm running as a candidate:

I see an opportunity to step forward and contribute actively to supporting our community in the Pacific.

For me, the really important part in "open source" is that word "open". To me it means a space that's nurturing, welcoming, and supportive. Drupal has often been at the forefront of open source, setting paths for how to build and grow together, which I'm glad for - but this industry has a long way to go, in a time when we need community the most. There's lots of work to be done. I'm here to help organise, and thinking about how we support regional and local initiatives and build community.

Why you should vote for me:

You should vote for whoever you think can contribute the most in this role! I'd like to give back what I can. I'm here on my own time to work for the community, and I'm not here for my own interests or those of my employer.
