Delivering to a budget with agile - fixed budget, controlled scope

How to deliver agile projects in a less than perfect agile environment of fixed budgets and fixed expectations? While "agile" and "SCRUM" are the buzz words of our time, actually delivering "agile" often proves challenging in the "real world". These are my key lessons learned.
