Using generative tools to assist with software development
Track: Web Tools & Complementary Technologies
Gitlab and Github unveiled their generative offerings to “make developers' lives easier” and to “code faster”. I incorporated some of the above tools while teaching at the local college for a year. This session will be a summary of my findings about so-called AI tools: the best and the worst. I’ll demonstrate how you can integrate such tools into your development process and where it is better to rely on an extra pair of eyes rather than on untested code.
