When faced with the challenges of tech and audience fragmentation, the costs of duplicated effort and inconsistent user experiences across government, what did the Victorian Department of Premier and Cabinet do? Jithma Beneragama is an executive with more than 15 years’ experience in digital product management, delivery and marketing. Working within start-ups, large corporates to now government, he has international exposure driving businesses to innovate and has delivered compelling customer experience across multiple platforms. He has led teams to deliver a number of industry firsts and award winning products in categories such as innovation, customer experience and design.
Jithma joined the Victorian Public Service in March 2014 to focus on improving the Victorian Government’s digital experience; to make it easier for citizens, business and the community to interact with Government via digital channels.
In this session, Jithma will talk about why DPC chose Drupal 8, their philosophy around the product and how they hope development communities will contribute to delivering better outcomes for citizens.
