DrupalSouth Brisbane 2022

DrupalSouth has determined the following requirements apply in relation to COVID-19:
- As the event is being held in Brisbane, DrupalSouth adheres to Queensland Government COVID-19 requirements.
- If you are coming to DrupalSouth from interstate or overseas, you are bound by your home region’s COVID-19 requirements before travelling.
- COVID isolation requirements were discontinued nationally after October 14.
Risk of COVID-19 Exposure
Regardless of any government requirements, by attending DrupalSouth you should be aware of the current risk of contracting COVID-19 by travelling through airports, taking public transport and general social interactions. DrupalSouth has zero control of these environments before you set foot in the event venue and cannot make any guarantees in relation to reducing the risk of exposure either outside or inside the event venue. It is your personal responsibility to determine your own risk threshold in relation to attending the event and the personal measures you choose to take to reduce this risk.
Mask Wearing
The QLD Government requirements in relation to mask wearing state: “Masks are still recommended if you're a close contact, whenever you are in an indoor setting outside the home; and wherever you can't socially distance". There is no mandate to wear masks at DrupalSouth and adherence to this recommendation is a personal choice.
COVID-19 Vaccination
There is no requirement to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination to attend DrupalSouth.
Cancellations & Refunds
If you test positive for COVID-19 or are a close contact and cannot attend DrupalSouth, proof of a positive PCR test must be provided to DrupalSouth organisers for a full refund to be provided on a pre-purchased ticket. Positive RAT tests conducted personally will not be accepted. This is consistent with travel insurance claim requirements.
No monetary refunds are provided on any complimentary tickets, but they may be transferred to alternative attendees.
If you are a sponsor and cannot attend the event personally due to a positive COVID-19 test, no refund on the sponsorship package fee will be provided.
If you test positive for COVID-19 during the event, you must adhere to QLD Government requirements and no refund will be provided.
If the event is postponed due to COVID-19 measures enforced by the QLD Government, tickets will be redeemable at the rescheduled event. No refunds on tickets or sponsorship packages will be provided in this scenario.
If you decide not to attend the event due to personal COVID-19 concerns after purchasing a ticket, no refund will be provided, but tickets are transferrable to alternative attendees.
DrupalSouth is not liable for any refunds related to travel, accommodation or other associated costs related to attending the event. We strongly recommend obtaining a travel insurance policy that covers COVID-19 cancellations whilst travelling to and from the event. DrupalSouth can provide documentation you might require for a travel insurance claim by emailing a request to events@drupalsouth.org.
