Presentation Accessibility Resources
- Inclusive Speaker Orientation: optional free training from the Linux Foundation that takes around two hours and will help speakers ensure their presentations are inclusive.
- How to Make your Presentations Accessible to All: guidance for speakers to increase the accessibility of their presentation before and onsite.
Presentation Preparation Timeline
We recommend using the following schedule when preparing your presentation. Your Track Lead is there to support you, so please feel free to ask them your questions and keep them in the loop with progress on your presentation.
- 19 Feb - Your presentation should be well underway. Please provide your Track Lead with an outline of your talk this week.
- 04 Mar - Please share your draft slides with your Track Lead this week.
- 11 Mar - Your Track Lead will offer feedback on your final slide deck this week.
- 18 March - Please discuss with your Track Lead before making any significant changes to your presentation in the lead-up to the conference.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Yes! All speakers agreed to our Code of Conduct when submitting a session as part of the Speaker Agreement. Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with it ahead of time.
You should have been informed of your session length in an email (45 minutes, 30 minutes or 15 minutes).
The Q&A portion of each presentation should fit into that time limit (typically five minutes at the end of your presentation).
You might want to share a slide detailing how attendees can contact you after the session with any further questions or thoughts.
Selected sessions will receive ONE complimentary ticket to the event.
Additional speakers can purchase tickets at a special price.
Please speak with your Track Lead if you are having problems registering.
Guests can leave their luggage with the front desk or concierge.
AV facilities
Each room will include:
- A projector and theatre screen
- 1 handheld microphone
- 1 lapel microphone
- HDMI cable
- Lectern
Laptops
Laptop plinths will be supplied next to each lectern. There should be ample space for laptops and keyboards.
Speakers should bring their own laptops with connectors for an HDMI cable.
Projector inputs
- You will be using an HDMI cable
- All aspect ratios are 16:9
Audio
All audio will be driven through the HDMI cable.

Sessions will be recorded and shared on DrupalSouth’s YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@DrupalSouth.
Please let us know if you do not want your session to be recorded or shared.
